Default Channel Priorities
Channel Priority settings are powerful, but sometimes a little confusing.
To help clarify things, we’ve added four new default Priority settings. When you create a new Channel going forward these Priorities will already be there for you to use.
The priorities are: Sponsorship, Premium, Networks, and House.
When you create a new Channel and assign it to a priority, you’ll now have four defaults to choose from.
Sponsorship
This priority is for roadblocks and other campaigns that you want to get 100% of the traffic for a given zone, site, or keyword.
Premium
This priority is for direct sold or premium campaigns that you want to run before any ad networks or house ads.
Networks
This priority is for any ad networks that you use to monetize the traffic that isn’t being filled by Sponsorship or Premium campaigns.
House
This is the backstop priority – if a impression gets to here that means it couldn’t be filled by any of the earlier campaigns. New accounts have default PSA ads that will run in this priority, but you can replace those with ads for your own products, articles, or affiliate ads.
